An iCal feed enables applications such as Soon to send time-based data to an external calendar application, like Google Calendar and Outlook. With the Soon iCal feed URL, you will be able to display your schedule in your favourite calendar app(s), as all accepted and assigned events will be synced to your calendar.
The iCal feed URL is a one-way calendar connection with Soon, meaning updates in your personal calendar won't affect your schedule in . Also, your personal calendar events won't be synced to Soon.
Calendar applications typically fetch your Soon schedule on a regular interval (from a few minutes to hours). The procedure that follows is a bit different for every calendar application. In the next sections, we will explain how you can subscribe to the URL feed or import from an .ics file for both Google Calendar and Outlook.
Subscribing to the URL feed connects Soon to your calendar. Whenever Soon makes changes to the events, the calendar application(s) update your calendar automatically.
Importing a .ics file lets you upload a snapshot of the events in Soon at the time of import. However, using the .ics import functionality doesn’t automatically refresh or update the events in your calendar when Soon makes an update. You will need to import the .ics file manually each time.
